if NAM verifies it's a toaster bath for many

Yeah its bad, the trend that has started last night continues. NAM is pretty ugly for CT. I was looking at the 12Z run bufkit and there was a lot of IP for that run for a lot of CT and this will be even worse.

I have to LOL at these posts about "these trends"..what trends? the Euro/EPS going slightly east?

It's easy enough to see if you look at a model.

Ride the GFS train to grace land?

Euro/GFS blend, emphasis on Euro, which ticked back east some at 12z. I'll take that any day over the nam. Besides, worst comes to worst, we're already well over climo. This is just gravy.

I would love to take the NAM verbatim...I mean 1.4" of qpf in 6 hours as snow...I would like to see that even if I end as pellets/freezing drizzle.

Good thing they're retiring this model Wednesday

Maybe it'll finish  with a big finale.

They may not verify, but to say there is not a trend amongst all(?) the mesoscale models is really denying reality.

If these trends don't stop, I'll be starting as rain. The duration of the front end thump continues to diminish.

Kinda looks like BOS starts as rain/mix on this run.

It's still 6"+ of snow but that would suck bigtime verbatim.
