Latest RAP has the final decent bands rotating west to east from 5 - 6pm.  The good stuff should be over around 6 for DC, a little later south and east.  Maybe some --SN after 6pm for DC...hopefully it is delayed a bit...but enjoy the good stuff now...don't wait to get out in it...the best is probably over the next 2-3 hours

Just measured: 2.7" Not bad, but not great for 6 hours of steady snow. I'd take it if it did that again for the next 6 hours, but seems like the falling snow is barely beating out the melting. Just came back from sledding and it was definitely slushy next to the ground.

There should be a significant push of cold air into DC metro around 3-4pm, but it may coincide with the good firehose diminishing

also, re swiscaster...steady snow for 6 hours would basically equal 2.7".  so far, think the 4-8" calls were solid.
