  1. Snowing a little harder, down to 38.3 degrees, but grill and deck table show no signs of caving.
  2. Some flakes finally floating down here in Centreville, western Fairfax County. 40.6 degrees though. That dog won’t hunt.
  3. Is anyone in a non-flyover county reporting snow yet? I see some returns getting close but nothing here so far.
  4. lol that says like 14” for Philly and they are just calling for 1-2” here. This will be interesting….
  5. I’m up in Philly this week and no one here is talking about snow. NWS doesn’t have any advisories for the city or nearby burbs. If any of these models are right, there could be a lot of surprised people.
  6. Insane snowfall rate and flake size has whitened everything except the street here in western Fairfax County, and the edges of the street are even caving. Driveway is white. I can’t remember ever being able to see snow from my window so easily at night before.
  7. Wonder if there is something wrong with my thermometer. I’m 42.8 degrees with rain here in Centreville.
  8. No matter who gets any snow, isn’t it going to rain for hours on end after it?
  9. Getting some decent sleet here in Centreville. Coating my deck furniture. 37.8 degrees.
  10. Under my deck stairs in the back yard.
  11. Snowing here in Centreville, VA. 48.7 degrees!
  12. Wow, 3.5 at Dulles? Not bad. Impressive that it is 26.1 degrees at 2:24pm on March 12th. That is some cold.
  13. I had sleet for over an hour before any snow. Then other people said they had no sleet. I guess it all depends on where you are.
  14. Finally some fatties mixing in with the pingers, down to 34.7 degrees in Centreville, VA.
  15. I guess I will break the seal: radar looking a little ragged to the SW…
  16. 36.1 and rain and sleet in Centreville, VA. Sleet woke me up at 6:15, but it has been doing about the same thing for 40 mins. Ground is just wet.
  17. It pains me to read this thread, as I was contemplating chasing up to Boston yesterday but had too many obligations here in DC. We got a half-inch. But I am so happy for the coastal crew up there since they sometimes deal with rain/mix in some of the bigger storms. I think Logan gets all time record and hits 30 and there will be spots south of Boston that are in the 30s, maybe Quincy to Taunton area. Problem will be how to accurately measure with the wind/drifting so there will always be doubt/uncertainty. Enjoy it tho! I’m so jealous!!
  18. Probably just lag. We have no lag here in these weather boards. Ink on the model run is not even dry and we are either rigid or suicidal instantly. They have to take time to digest the runs and prepare a product that goes through some sort of review process before it goes out to the public (I assume?). That all takes time.
  19. I just saw 24-36” for Boston on Fox News (commence flaming) but then I come in here and it’s all gloom and doom. I’ve been thinking about chasing to Boston but is that not gonna verify for them now or something?
