Kmlwx
Dumping small flakes right now. Radar looks interesting with that super heavy returns almost bowing around DC. Road has been covered since close to the start.Probably around 4.5 inches here.

das
Clarksburg, MD @ 1:38 PM Snow 6.2" Temp 24 I'll have to use you at my measurement as I am not in Clarksburg this afternoon. Can you PM me your total when it stops? Out towards Barnesville (where I am), it's nearly whiteout conditions. Beautiful. Horrible day for a funeral though... fourseasons
Hey DC peeps, how are the roads hanging on? Thinking about getting to Verizon Center later. Grapes would expect nothing less. Although his floral patterns concern me because they're too busy.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Must be getting colder because road conditions are now deteriorating in a hurry.
ravensrule
Gorgeous, up to 3.5". If we can hold this heavy snow for awhile, can get to the 6" I was hoping for. You need to move 15 miles NW. You seem to get shafted every storm.
Bob Chill
Dumping small flakes right now. Radar looks interesting with that super heavy returns almost bowing around DC. Road has been covered since close to the start. Probably around 4.5 inches here. I'm pretty sure the radar is representing flake types more than rates. The yellows are in the warmer air. DDweatherman
Nearly a whiteout now. Wind is really picking up with the small flakes absolutely pouring down. Nearing 5" accumulation.

MDstorm
I picture looking down my street during a heavier band, and the growing snow pile on the north side of my driveway. You do nice work..... I have a driveway here with your name on it.

Stormpc
A wind blasted fog of snow. Actually drifting nicely. My PWS temp is down to 27.3 but the local wx bugs are lower. They can't be right. Certainly 2 inch an hour stuff falling now. Reminds me of my days at Oswego with 1/8th of a mile visibility and snow fog. Awesome stuff!!!! clskinsfan
2:00 7.9 inches. .7 in the past hour. Light snow 26 degrees. Rates have really slowed down out here. Just light snow now. I hope I can grab another inch before it shuts off.

Kmlwx
I'm pretty sure the radar is representing flake types more than rates. The yellows are in the warmer air. That would make a lot of sense and explain the shape of the returns on radar. Just saw your post over in the long range thread - wow....backloaded winter for sure. PrinceFrederickWx
This is definitely the heaviest snow I have seen all year. I can't see the power lines from my house (which I know are 1/4 mile away). We turned over later than forecast, but man...

caviman2201
3.25" in Glen Burnie as of 2PM... Certainly looks like a lot more has fallen... I guess compaction and the sun have really taken a toll.
