wxmanmitch Posted December 6, 2014 Share Posted December 6, 2014 A moderate to heavy snow/sleet mixture is now occurring here. The warm layer aloft must be very thin as the heavier precipitation is causing the warmth aloft to erode away via evaporational cooling while the WAA works against it by bringing in more warm air. Going between good flakes and meh flakes now, but coming down hard regardless. Heading off to bed--pretty sure I'll be awakened shortly with sleet off the windows.
