pretty bad damage just to my south in Cathedral Heights over to Cleveland Park and further east in to Petworth.  Ian thinks it's a microburst.  About 1" here - finally some good rain.  I was downtown running when it hit - minor street flooding.

Rained at least 6 separate times at Deep Creek throughout the day today. A little break just before sunset and then it started to rain again.

Looked like it shifted just SE of here. Found a traffic cam at 1D and could see suspicious stuff SW of me. Being in a ground level condo I did not have the best view. Would have went out to look but even then would have had to go out to the center of the circle here. So we just found the safest place to be and watched radar.

Likewise lol. It was actually the weather channel app that warned us before the EAS alert to our phones. I have a livesteam on my Facebook where you can see the clouds twisiting. The sky was a worse blueish green than last week!

 

I swear we don't usually have weather this interesting, only when you visit LOL

One of the lucky ones here in moco yesterday, about an inch fell in an hour as that line grew and sorta stalled for a bit north of DC. Looking green and fresh this am.

That is funny. Because I have been saying I guess I need to leave my house for it to get rain. I joke about me being a rain/storm deterrent. Some of the craziest weather I have been in for a while out here. 
 

Anyone here heard anything about Lovettesville with a lot of tree damage? Have a friend who says they think it was a tornado not seeing anything that would suggest that.

Never thought I'd see the day when San Diego would be muggier than DC! They've been getting 70-degree dewpoints lately.

Getting a little worried about the Sunday / Monday rain event... the setup seems fairly primed to produce flooding somewhere in the ridge/valley and piedmont region.

With temps in the low 60s and windy conditions, it felt like fall in Western MD except for all the green trees.

Amazing ! I can see the discrepancy even locally - northern Augusta County toward Harrisonburg is so green and lush, towering fields of corn-  south toward Stuarts Draft the same... In between well - brown grass thats crunchy now... Highest event for the month was 0.44 ..
