I think NYC had a AQI of over 400 in 2023 and the sky was bright orange on June 23rd 2023. Short range models have it getting worse here late this afternoon/evening. Makes sense with the cold front sagging south. Low 80's on the north fork. High of 94 down to 92 with the smoke getting thicker. AQI is bad esp NYC and north. Unhealthy category from Lower Manhattan and north from there.
