Loving the steady rains across Central NJ right now.

you have a chance of flooding rain very soon - Flood Warning says between 2 - 32 inches -lol

FFW from KPHI

problem today is these areas of heavy rain just develop very quickly

The blob of heavy slow moving rain over the rockaways and the island beaches have exactly 10 mins to dissipate before the 2 hour NAM blows it.

in a shocking turn of events the 1 hr hrrr is better than the nam.

0.88" here so far from the overnight rain into this morning. Happy to get a desperately needed soaking for the vegetable garden! I see on radar that a downpour will likely be hitting here shortly, so we should add quite a bit more.

the radar echoes are once again moving in different directions across the region  on radar - down along the NJ coast south of Asbury Park - moving south to north - north and west of there moving west to east - interesting - aslo these pop up area of flooding rain develop very quickly

Definitely some sort of convergence zone there with the warm front

Portions of Orange County show what can happen with training convection in situations like these.

South shore looking pretty good, around 2” it looks like around JFK. Here it’s very meh and staying that way with the heavy rain going south. Getting split screwed.

Not so sure about that. Rain is expanding north and feeder band developing south of us. Up to 1.60" here with a long way to go. I think we go over 3"

After a couple more small downpours I'm now up to 1.06". We'll have to see if more develops as there's not much more on radar to the west right now, but I'm glad I got at least an inch. Won't have to water the garden for a few days.
