Okay, I'll admit I was wrong. It can snow in Baltimore, DC, and Virginia, even after it's 80 degrees. I've never seen that before, but I guess there's a first for everything.

(Although, the rain hasn't changed over where I am.)

Karma is a bi$@#!

Just insane

3/11 1pm ob-72F headed to high of 83

3/12. 1pm ob-35F moderate to heavy snow .  All areas covered and near 0.5” in full shade spots

can’t remember another one like this

Next interesting time will be 3pm when radiance is dropping fast and then dark after that.  Something is forming off outer banks and gulf fetch is mixing in.  Let’s see if we can get more  south to north move and stay in this longer

In Harford county, at work. I really wanna see what this looks like under that band as it moves east… but Baltimore looks like it’s having a grand old time! Wish I was there. As is, mixing here, more and more snow by the minute.

dry air stopped at the LoCo/FFX Co line per radar. East of that should get an inch maybe even 2

Still a steady light snow here, just a few miles east of the county line.  We definitely got the goods for the past few hours.  Hopefully those to the east now also cash in.

Per NWS Employees:

0.5" 1 N Tysons Corner at 115pm

1.0" 1 NNE Herndon at 125pm

Is that the same NWS Employee who reported 0.2" at 1215pm in Herndon?  If so... thats basically reporting rates of nearly an inch per hour lol

Mesonet data really underscores how the rates saved us. Layhill and Potomac in Montgomery County are 32 degrees. But further west in Poolesville where the precipitation has ended it's rebounded to 38 degrees already.

Everything minus time of day (and year, lol) worked out well here.
