Well, congrats to those who got the goods. I obviously can't control the storm , but I can control how I react to it. I at least had the courtesy to remove myself from the thread and sleep in to spare you all the incessant bitching that I'm sure you subjected to by Cory.

This was a rare shot not only to experience a 3 foot+ event, which I had never done, but with an antecedent pack of over foot.

Sucks-

Same and totally get it.  But also you put a lot of work into this whole thing.

You have been level headed about this on this forum.  It sucks, but you at least probably learned something from it.  You limited your bitching. You got a decent storm.  But definitely could have been a ton better for you.  50 miles...25 miles.. that's all it needed to take

What I would never like to see again is writing a storm off before a flake has fallen. I've said it once and now restated. It's infuriating because it happens over and over. Complain about something you have control over and then only then moan into the mirror.

Till the next...enjoy the winter wonderland.

Ya know Ray, it’s Text Communication.  Not calling and yelling at people.  If Text Communication bothers people, everyone needs to grow a damn pair of balls.  My dad answers with “Where the F*** Have You Been you A-Hole?” If I don’t cap him back within 5 minutes of him calling.  Normal Italian Relationships.  This is bitching about getting screwed time and time again.  And you guys Mostly Laugh and Attack me back.  Can’t believe some can’t handle READING things.

I will be out driving soon because after watching his of the news, and seeing piles of snow and cars covered No more impressive than my area, I refuse to believe these 35”-40” totals.  I’ll be running all over jabbing that stick in untouched & unplowed areas.

Feel pretty let down for sure seeing many people with double what we got but we are used to it.  Also our blizzard conditions were all during the dark and we never had more than light snow today after sunrise.  So it was pretty meh because we couldn’t see the goods, but we always take a good 16” storm!

What was the highest total in ENE?

Lol I measured 16 as well and I know EXACTLY how you feel.

During NEMO I lived in Norwalk and was disappointed i missed the 30 to 40 inches east of me (ironically where I live now). I measured a pedestrian 22 inches.

Now I had 16 and even Bridgeport reported 20.

Only 1996 (27) and 2006 (20.5) was I on par with the top measurements.

I think it’s time for a vacation home in eastern mass . So I can go up there for storms like this. The scenes there today can’t really be duplicated anywhere else.

Tblizz has a shed that he may rent.

It's too bad my grandmother sold her house in Duxbury for Florida. Would've been an epic storm to crash up there.

Why? Did you see that band? How much did you get? At least this wasn't a mess-screw for me like Dec 2003, PD II and Jan 22....the storm was just to far south, This looks like a mess-screw for you, which is infuriating.

We always joke with Scooter and TBlizz, but their snow climate really is like 5+ years of pain followed by the occasional absolute juggernaut.

SE Mass can see the most brutal stretches and pain when 10-30 miles NW is getting buried… but when they jackpot it’ll be unlike anywhere else.

Easton, how frequently did you measure?

There's like two dozen 30"+ reports from the Providence area, you were just north of the highest amounts.

I don't know about you guys, but I always feel a little melancholy when a big storm is coming to an end. You just know it could be many years before you experience something like it again.

I definitely feel that way at times.  The build up is amazing... sometimes almost as good as the actual event.

And then... withdrawal...
