I’ve seen accumulating snow in the Cathedral area of DC while there’s rain down at The Mall a number of times. Also about 400 ft difference.

Statewide mesonet data shows the sun angle and it's impacts should be done. It's all snow and accumulations from here on out.

Went to a party several years ago with several mets and my wife. After a few drinks several of admitted we weighted elevation strongly in our decision to purchase where we all did. The look on my wife's face was priceless.

Winds have picked up out of the northwest and some flurries have redeveloped.  My son is at a friend's house 3 miles east of here and says he has heavy snow there.  That's a pretty close miss.

Moderate to Heavy snow at IAD now. Grassy areas beginning to cave but the tarmac is fine. So far cancellations are limited to flights to the blizzard zones.

33° at the Towson mesonet.  Dew is down to 32°.

Changing over now. No longer even need to squint or even wear my glasses to see the flakes. Still mostly rain but getting quieter as flakes pick up. Next milestone, stickage...
