Grothar of Herndon
15 minutes ago, RDM said: With your previously stated 400 ft of elevation, you must be near Tysons. It's the only place in McLean with that much elevation. FYI - the communications tower at 123 and 7 is the highest spot in FFCo except for the land fill at the I-66 transfer station at FFCo Pkwy - It is the highest spot in the county. We're 375' ASL here just NW of Vienna, and just far enough away from the Tysons concrete jungle that we often get a little more sn because of the lower impact of the Tysons heat island. If that band sets up as currently projected, we'll be in business up through MOCO and down to Spfld. I am in Herndon out by Dulles Airport 361’ elevation

aldie 22
Rates have remained steady since the flip probably half inch so far which is a shame but still pretty. I had to run out and get some things and drove southwest about 4 miles and there's literally nothing on the grass there 2

MillvilleWx
Beautiful cross-section across MD from the shore to the Alleghany front. Decent omega throughout the region within the DGZ should allow for nice dendrites and efficient accumulations. This was taken from the 14z HRRR around 02z (9PM EST). Once it starts snowing, it'll absolutely accumulate efficiently. Areas of the Delmarva are going to get absolutely crushed. 1-2"/hr for hours for those areas. 10+ is all but certain for any area east of Cambridge longitude. Will be a fun evening for all! 11 1
