Second day in a row of setting a 'cool max'. High was 21.2 degrees; old mark was 23.0 degrees from 1980. Low was 7.9 degrees, which is current temp. Still 4.5" of concrete OTG with a SWE of 1.65".

I just got done leaf blowing my pack. I was sick of the tree shit, leaves, bird seed shells messing up the beauty of the pack. My neighbors are use to my weirdness. Hardly a drip here today. 33ish

I’ve been grumbling for days about it haha. The backyard looks like jagged rocks between the dogs/kid out there disturbing the pristine pack. Happy my office window faces front yard where it’s smooth and pretty to look at

With the coming of spring I'm afraid the ice steps I sculpted as a short-cut down to my car will turn into an impassible muddy mess. A "rasputitsa" if you will that will hinder mobility

Got to 37F briefly in the neighborhood today, but was down to 33F when I left the house and falling. Expecting some black ice issues to crop up with some of this melting and subsequent refreezing. Stuff will take a small hit next few days, even with any refresher snow we receive before it settles back to pure concrete this weekend.

I've seen every body of water completely frozen over.  That's the first time in a very long time.

I actually wish it would warm up. I'm getting tired of most of the sidewalks in commercial areas being permanently blocked. And the pedestrian trail from the Vienna Woods neighborhood to the Metro station is still a sheet of ice which requires slow careful navigation to avoid falling. VDOT or whoever is supposed to maintain this trail obviously doesn't give one-tenth of a shit about pedestrians.

I'd like a week of sunshine and 60-degree temps, staying above freezing at night. Or, failing that, an inch of rain at 50 degrees.

This is buc-ees winter wonderland, not buc-ees tropical paradise. Talk of 50 and rain in early February = auto banned.

Some of you would never survive a winter in Davis or anywhere that even does a half decent job of retaining snow-cover most of the winter. Really makes me question whether or not you're true snow weenies. Smh.

So finally creeped just above freezing yesterday with a 33.0 high first time in 10 days. Was above 32 for about an hour. With only 10 mph winds it felt like 60 lol. MUCH warmer overnight, never went below 20 degrees here, that also is a first in about 10 days.

I think you can be a snow weenie without being a cold weenie. I want it to stick around for 3 days. Then I don’t really care. It’s nice looking, but I’m cold!
