Normally with our phasing storms its reasonably clear how the ridge axis, timing of phasing, heights out in front, will affect the outcome but with this one it's been really hard to guess. In our neck of the woods, it's all about how long temps at 700 can hold on. I just don't see any way out of the flip.

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
NAM is a little faster which I actually like, let's get all this precip in here before we lose thermals.
aldie 22
Here's my first last and only call for my new home. 13.7" pure snow 1.2" sleet a below zero temp reading at some point early next week. Good luck all i hope everyone gets something good!

Faster with the northern stream, slower with the southern stream. This will likely lead to a colder outcome.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
SE of 95 4-8 DC 6-10 NW 8-14 Seems like a pretty easy call and if DC gets 4 inches of snow and a bunch of sleet that'll seem like 6-10 anyway based on impact.

It's really thoughtful and no doubt makes the person on the other end automatically feel better about the prospect of flipping to sleet. If not closed Tuesday at least a delay 2/2 and 2/3, right? Next week will be canceled before the first sleet pellet falls.

I have suffered from chronic fatigue the last 12 years and the extra energy you need to pound through sleet is annoying as heck. May try to shovel while it's still powdery, lol
