NNE/CNE Snow Special Thursday 01/16

Probably one of those deals where we have shallow cold air that mixes out once the cloud cover comes in and the  wind picks up from the south.  It's not great having the low track to our north but perhaps at the onset of things we could get a mix or even a light coating

I think our low is tracking south, satellite imagery and observations as of 03z shows us the low is tracking eastward not northeastward.

Yes there  has been a subtle shift south  and colder on guidance but we would really need another 50 miles or so, at least as far as Connecticut is concerned.

I think east helps us out this time, our longitude around 70W instead of 72W

I'm wondering if there will be any accumulating snow here, NWS has a rain/snow mix and a low of 33F. Currently clear skies here and 27F.

Clouding over and 27 also.   Venus was like a beacon earlier tonight,  super bright and shiny.

I'm off to bed I wish you the best but I don't really see a way of you getting much, hopefully things break right  for you  and you get a little wrap around action as the storm intensifies offshore

Oh I have no expectations, I won't be sad if nothing happens.

Light snow falling but not accumulating much yet. Don't expect much as radar is pretty patchy off to the west for those south of the MA/NH border and esp rt 2.

Just saw the 6-10" for Pit2.  Nice localized score for the region.  Congrats.

Here in the tropics, just a light coating.  Probably .5, perhaps a smidge more,, snowing nicely attm.  At least things are white again.
