The WPC watches and warnings map is a sight this morning.  practically nothing going on any where of any kind in any part of the US.  October calm I suppose.

12z euro has a 996 low over Dover at 12z Saturday.  Sizable 50 to 75 kg easterly jet slamming moisture in.  Probably.going to struggle to reach 50 for most areas Saturday.

That track usually  yields  heavy precip up this way .Wind  Gusts should be pretty robust . Southeast pa bears the brunt this run with up to 60 mph gusts  per Euro . Definitely interesting storm incoming.

I imagine this storm could have been a real bomb with some partial/ phasing . As is... the vort package is broad and lil sloppy when the low is at our lat.

Saturday 12z Gfs

Pretty hefty storm and that easterly jet sure weighs a good amount

Fall color seems to have taken a noticeable step in the last few days. Not moderate color yet, but I think we’ve certainly left “spotty” color behind.

Was about to say...I hope we don't have another crappy foliage like last year (that was awful, lol)

I noticed the same thing today. I'm hoping this fall is still salvageable and that this weekend's breezy rains don't mess up our already lower chances of some good color.

Storm will make it's own cold air.  Meteorology 101.

He's gone loopy. I think he's trying to fill the space that Justin Berk once occupied. And it's weird because he spent so many years wish-casting away any snow chances.

30F.

Last night and this morning were perfect.  Deep, clear sky and the full Hunter's moon were spectacular.  There is no month like october.

When it acts like October ;)

Another freezing night here (30.3), only 46.5 degrees out there at 1:15 pm and the clouds have swung in. That should lock the high (and low) in for the day. Only chance of a bit warmer afternoon is that the winds have veered to SW at 2-3 mph.

Practically nothing again today nation-wide, apart from some off-shore stuff on both coasts.  Hope this the proverbial calm before the storm/s and I'm not referring to this coming weekend.  We need an active pattern with split-flow and some phasing to juice things up...

WBAL & WJZ are the worst crop of on air mets I've ever seen.  They are an embarrassment to the field of meteorology. Adrienne Green at ABC 2 is solid.

Currently 35. Almost feels like snow.  3k upped the ante on wind with gusts to 50 early am tomorrow in central Md . I wonder if its overdone.  Euro gets the area into 45 mph gust range .

3k says high of only near 40 tomorrow n+w
