what's the best site to use to monitor the snow/sleet line?  any indication of where that is right now?

Aside from apps, Wundermap and Weather Channel for me

RAP has a death band moving through from west to east between 5-7...hopefully still snow

Soundings based off 15z RAP claim it is still snow at DCA

Clarksburg, MD - passed 3"  Temp 16 degrees @ 12:10 PM  impressive rates.  with these rates Upper MoCo should reach 9" by 5:00 PM!!!

The RR/HRRR combo has been advertising a relative lull at 3 or 4pm, and then coming back bigtime.  Hopefully we can hold out on that flip as long as possible.

Just got back from a 90 minute run in the pouring snow. Got a lot of funny looks from drivers, but it really doesn't get any better. Would that be considered a jebrun or an osfanrun?

Looked at radar and satellite and here is my take for next 6 hours.

The snow now is from upper air warm front. We do not want that very light area south of Fredericksburg to overtake DC.

If it does we go to a very light snow/drizzle and would lose a lot of the effective snow rates.  If we can stay steady-moderate/heavy then upstairs stays cold. The baro will be able to hold onto the snow until about 30.10/15.
