Gotta move that sensor away from house

But, make sure you  move it back next to it so for the summmer.   :)

Temps been ticking down here as well.  21.7/20.  Lots of blowing  Just sliding right off the roof (standing seam), but even on the slate just blowing off in relatively light winds.  Meausring's going to be a bear--we have some fairly wide open areas in the woods that might provide the best combination of being away from trees/obstacles yet still being protected from the wind.

Latest for GYX 6-hr snow tool drops PWM 2.5", all the way to 24.6"!   However, it shows only 2.2" by 1P today, and at 1:14 the Jetport reported 6.6" and AUG 6.0".)

Back to -SN with tiny flakes.  Just got a message that state offices close at 3P; was going to head north about then, anyway - not a nice time for after-dark driving, if it can be avoided.

Snowing solid moderate now at Downtown Crossing...pavement getting covered where the pedestrians walk and cars are blocked off...streets still wet.

About to leave for the last train back to ORH. Radar and water vapor look spectacular...this is going to be one of the all timers I think.

Weird to be enjoying this in ORH country this time. Now I know what it feels like with 22 degree snow CF when it's 32 along I-95.

When that passes your location ...if so, you'll likely do more like a temp crash.

You are quite a bit cooler up there.  I'm at 26F off a morning high of 29F.

Wind is light down here. Maybe gusting 10-15mph infrequently.  -sn/sn now.

About 0.25" so far with -SN. Very fine flakes which are lowering the visibility below a mile.

I'm definitely getting shadowed a bit right now due to the easterly winds since they're perpendicular to the Berkshires. However, as winds begin to back more northerly later on, I expect downslope effects to be reduced. Stronger forcing in the mid-levels should help to overwhelm it as well.

I'm thinking a 12-16" storm here as the best of the banding probably stays east of us. We'd need the low to track over ACK or even Phil to really jackpot here, but I don't see that happening. Good luck further east.

I'll be posting more obs.
