Huge flakes here. We've turned the corner on temps and the threat of any mixing now, temp starting to drop off as progged.

30.8f

noticed that too..I peaked close to 32, now down  a good half a degree..snow should turn more powdery...(and hopefully limit the power outage potential)

Board in state of hysteria.

sn, 1", 23.2/21

I make a concerted effort to avoid those threads while an event is underway -- just try to enjoy the storm that we've been waiting for and talking about for days. These things never unfold exactly as expected, and living and dying with every wrinkle while obsessing over QPF just seems pointless.

First Selectman just called, state of emergency in effect.

16-20 inches of snow

winds 30-40 gusting to 60 tonight

coastal flooding at high tide which is 945

I can tell you this, the snow has been wet its stuck to everything and the pines are sagging like the cover of an old National Geographic Mag.

There will be tons of power outages tonight.

Its dumping nuggets.........

Interesting..much drier snow up this way...hopefully the wind blows it off the pines...we don't need power outages...

Not looking ominous at all here in Woburn, MA. Light snow and wet roads. No sticking at all and right around freezing. It just doesn't have that big storm feel when it's very cold (Teens) to start and the snow is blowing around on the roads.

I know tonight is when things will crank.....but it's not happening here yet.
