Kbosch
well that will suck if that happens down here ,another storm no one will remember I hope not Oh we'd remember the 18 inches of snow and forget about the sleet we had to deal with for a while. Clinch Leatherwood
Looks like a NYC-HFD-ORH jackpot The vorticity doesn't get away this time, it's run right up into SNE versus getting shot out under ACK. Be interested to see how the rest of the suite handles it particularly the Euro before buying it. That's just a tremendous snow storm once again for NYC. CCPSUSuperstorm2010
Appears I might actually miss a rainstorm on the coast. I never expected a blizzard for Cape Cod, MA last night, but 5" is definitely something to be excited about.

Organizing Low
the euro and GFS have been pretty rock steady. remember last night the NAM had a pseudo-SWFE i wouldnt get too concerned unless sudden support for the NAM evolves, which is unlikely
weathafella
Well at this moment it's still snow....worth the taint to see this happen. Hey if I get a foot then light rain...well worth it. Nothing's getting washed away...

Be interested to see how the rest of the suite handles it particularly the Euro before buying it. That's just a tremendous snow storm once again for NYC. A track like that could bring 20" totals to W CT... some towns that saw 12"-15" on Friday!!!!
NorEastermass128
Overcorrection...overcorrection...I'm going to keep telling myself that this is an overcorrection.
ctsnowstorm628
21z rsm much better than the nam for coastal areas..
moneypitmike
Dry slot for eastern areas, good snows for W CT and NYC gets destroyed. Boy does this ever remind me of another storm that recently came through... lol Decent qpf outside of the jackpot areas.
dryslot
H7 low over GHG at 69hr. S NH/S ME getting hit hard. I think this is the scenario we were thinking...
CT Rain
Overcorrection...overcorrection...I'm going to keep telling myself that this is an overcorrection. Probably is... I wouldn't worry too much. Can't say I'm shocked to see the NAM do this given the number of way amped up SREF members. Hell some had the thing OVER Hartford!!! dendrite
Yeah inland areas get crushed. Have to think dry slot dry slot dry slot for many of us unfortunately with that track. Thankfully it's the NAM Yeah...I'm still hesitant to buy a solution this amped up even with the SREFs being bullish...that is until some globals get on board. weathafella
Great run....will happily put up with taint to see if snow that hard.....and back to snow again after the initial push once the storm gets closest.
Clinch Leatherwood
how are the mid level centers behaving....is there still a "screw" zone where ML Low is not as favorable. I think wachusett gets well over a foot . the clown maps will be interesting. No per the NAM pretty much all of you get crushed. It's an ideal big snowstorm away from SE areas where there will be dryslotting and temp issues. It's a skiers dream and bloombergs nightmare. DomNH
Yeah...I'm still hesitant to by a solution this amped up even with the SREFs being bullish...that is until some globals get on board. At least it didn't go SE.

mahk_webstah
The GFS will probably drag me down, but for now it's an all-out FIYYAAHH!!! moment. breathing heavy here...lets hope it doesn't blow its load too soon
DomNH
breathing heavy here...lets hope it doesn't blow its load too soon It looks like it blew it's load right over ASH-LWM-GAY based on the 66 hour panel. 1'' of QPF in 6 hours.
cpickett79
in stead of pete 2k we may have to call him " 2 feet pete" buried! wonder how ML temps are for ORH/N. orh county. looks like even rick would get into some big snows from this track. also looks like it slows. weatherwiz
I would love to be the lucky SOB that ends up in the CCB on this run, gotta be looking at one insane band with incredible snowfall rates and probably convection too, the amount of lift/convergence is sick. MaineJayhawk
Jeff, Eric, fiyyyyahhhh! Heavy heavy fiiyyyyyaahhhhh ... holy crap, that's exactly what I want to have happen. Low goes up to GHG and slows. Big Fiyyyaahh!

Yeah you get a crushing front thump followed by some pingers some rain and a dry slot. Obviously a low track over Narraganssett bay sucks for a lot but trend it 30 miles east and everyone is in business. I'm happy to see the mid level lows closing nice and early. Clinch Leatherwood
Yeah...I'm still hesitant to buy a solution this amped up even with the SREFs being bullish...that is until some globals get on board. brian like you said wise to wait for the rest of the 0z. If it all comes in the same great. The NAM did the same thing down here a couple of days ago when it adjusted the s/w vorticity NW. It did wobble over a few runs but on different key s/w. It never wandered SE and came back though on the same feature like we just saw. We'll see, good model porn.
shawnmov
Overcorrection...overcorrection...I'm going to keep telling myself that this is an overcorrection. The truth lies somewhere in between.... 18Z and 0Z that is... at least for us a bit NW of Boston.
