It wasn't supposed to rain today, so I left my umbrella at home. Of course it started raining the minute the bus reached the Vienna station.

Relying on nearby stations...mby received about 6" rain in July, approaching 2" Aug to date.

Floodgates opened in the warrenton area today. The lightning was extreme! Pretty much nonstop!

I always find it amusing when it rains with the sun shining, lol Had that a couple hours ago here. Now this is ACTUAL liquid sunshine...not the psychological kind people try to label regular cloudy rain (end pet peeve rant)

Finally got past the 2 inch mark total this week since late June...

Seen drier periods down here  but never a more frustrating 75 days.... Not 1 single direct hit or a real glancing blow from any convective shower or storm...  It's been basically sloppy 4ths not 2nds here...
