straphanger
Over 1.6" of rain so far between 1745 and 1845 here and still coming down like crazy. The subway isn't handling it very well and there are suspensions due to flooding.

TriPol
SPC really dropped the ball on this one. They had the strongest/bulk of the rain going to the south of the city.

MANDA
Torrential downpours over the last 2 hours or so. Based on radar the heaviest of the rain is through my area. Just light to some moderate rain next 90 minutes or so. Eyeballing the gauge it looks like about 2". That would put me at 7.5" for the month of August so far. Will get an exact measurement about 9:00 or so. Came down is torrents at times. Thankfully the heaviest has passed through and totals around here did not go off the rails.

mikeysed
Did the strength of the first line which exploded NYC east and back built caused the second wave in central and north NJ be a nothing burger? Its light to moderate rain at best and restatyed at 650 and ending in 10 minutes. moving fast which has been commented but seems like the energy got sucked out of it.

jm1220
Close to 2.5”. Should be a moderate soaking rain from here. Great for the gardens, unfortunately the bug population will explode in a few days and it’s bad enough.
