IronTy
It kind of looks like it could maybe get sunny possibly once the fog hopefully burns off.

Yesterday just missed a record high at 76.6 degrees, record was 78 degrees from 1994. If we hit that temp today it WILL be a record, that is 76 degrees from 1995. Shattered. High was 78.7 degrees, new record.
kgottwald
Seems like the only time it's 100% sunny at this time of year is after an arctic front comes through, so you have to put up with bitter winds to get the sun. So cold and raw, during my walk to the supermarket my hands were aching and burning after 20 minutes (I thought I could manage without gloves, because it makes it a lot easier to read on my phone). And it doesn't feel like the front is going to lift north any time soon. If I could afford it, I'd spend every February through June in Phoenix or Tucson. IMO April in Arizona is the perfect climate: upper 50s at sunrise so it's cool enough to walk to the grocery store without overheating. Dewpoints in the teens and twenties making the 90-degree afternoons pleasantly cool in the shade and pleasantly warm in the sun. I could leave my windows open 24-7. Not a drop of rain all month. Not a cloud in the sky all month!

EastCoast NPZ
We'll have 5 months straight of endless sunshine and heat soon enough. Appreciate the clouds while we have them. 1 1
hstorm
For the past few days, NAM has shown DC N&E staying on the colder side of the front today, at least until evening. 12z 3k NAM seems to suggest that the boundary stays even a bit further S&W for most of the day. We’ll see. But it’s done pretty well this week and is typically good with these setups.

Agreed, and it's usually really good on this, but it can sometimes stay too cool if a bit of sun can break through on the cool side of the front. Regardless, it really looks like those of us on the east side of the river will get our max temp today at 11:59pm. Tomorrow could get sneaky warm ahead of the weak front sagging southward. The exact timing of the front is in question, which greatly affects the potential to get warm, but southern MD probably has the best chance of getting to the 70s.

Mrs.J
So have been waiting till my last day to post an observation of my week. Being inside and dealing with the gloom at least I am dry and warm. But I have been taking care of my friend’s horses all week. And as every person knows who takes care of animals on a farm this week was rough. On my final morning here is the conditions I have been working in since Monday. Have multiple times saved myself from whipping out. And have sunk in many times. My car is caked in mud and the smell of wet dirty horses will take sometime to get out of my clothes. I do though enjoy taking care of them. But a couple of days in between of some sun would have been better.
