Cell north of Culpepper looks interesting.

I had a high of 82 today and was cloudy 95% of the time. Radar activity is weakening as it approaches western Loudoun. Looks like anything severe will be south and east of me. Not sure why the STW extended so far northwest.

It's juiced in the column for sure.  K-index as high as 40 in  w-cntrl VA.  That is about as high as it gets these parts.

Looks like a supercell and it is splitting now.

It’s combined with the cell that popped up over 66 (I was driving west to get the culpeper cell) and it was nasty. Some of the heaviest rainfall you can get. The gust front is hitting me from the cell complex. I’m at the Herndon metro garage if anyone is interested in where my reports are from. They have a 6 story roof.

Looks like the hooks reformed over GMU. Saw two bolts from the blue hit right over there

A decent wind threat might be developing for areas south of I-66 and Route 50 w/ that squall line in VA.

Gnarly storm just moved through in my hood. Warned and verified. 50-60mph gusts and torrential rain. Best storm since I moved. Glad I wasn't on the lake. That would have been scary lol

The next 2 weeks feature a good deal of potential severe weather opportunities. The NSSL machine-learning output here isn't the only thing supporting severe weather risks in late June and early July.

Got meh'd IMBY but I'll take the rain I did get. Interesting that we did manage to get several tor warns in MD today.

Well can't send in a Cocorah's report tomorrow. Regulation flag pole in the backyard came down and took out the rain gauge. After last night's full tornado outbreak in Indiana and Illinois that went underforecasted, I kinda expected some events here to overperform.
