What a wild day, finally got out back where we had about 6-8" left on the pack, snow is now up to nearly my chest and I am about 5"10.

Neighbors have snow drifts over their first story windows.

What a day to be a snow weenie.

Probably won’t make a run at 40 here but I’d be surprised if we didn’t see 36”. Good luck measuring

Tell you what, I have a bit of latitude on you boys that got over two feet. But I just cleaned out 15 inches of what fell here, and I want no part of cleaning up 36 inches of that. That is some real dense cake.

We're trying to limp our way to a 20-burger....I'm calling it a shade over 19" right now using snow board and 2 alternate measurements in relatively sheltered areas. I could prob get away with calling it 20 given the wind/drifting, but I think that would be slightly steep. 

IF we can get another weenie band to intensity for an hour or two, then we can make it. 

Maybe we'll get a January 2022 LES type band....lol. At the end of that storm, I picked up nearly 5" during the evening in those backlash bands on NW winds....not easy to do, but it was like LES blower powder.

Somewhere between 10.5 -11.5 in Methuen....this is going to go down as a major bust for BOX,nearly every TV met and anyone else who predicated 18-24+

Yes... Long running snow cover, even weeks between major storm events; no truly record setting cold intrusions, but consistently colder than normal; making for the coldest winter in years;  one last thing about this storm; it proves once again the incredible role meso scale banding plays in out big events; and always finds away to get further west of the CRV than modeled.

first...how do the let someone clear and measure every hour? That's like um, just wrong, dont do that, why has no one told her not to do that? Thats how you get 13.9 in Boxing Day. 

second...what do you think about BDR ob? I cant believe im saying this...but seems high, they are usually too low and now have a measurement that seems a bit too high for them.

@The 4 Seasons….so I measured the best I could, and got 13”.  On the news tonight channel 3 Eye witness news said southington had 15”….so you can use either one pal.

No matter the orientation of these bands, they all find a way to pass through PVD. Big flakes! What a truly incredible day.

Just got home and measured- we got dead on an inch!  Did multiple measurements to verify as it could be controversial.  I haven't checked the thread yet-  Did I jack??
