At least the state was at least smart enough to pre-position a lot of resources down that way. Hopefully that helps with restoration.

But with the N flow you’re going to need it to get a little north of you on radar and that may be a tough task. I noticed the underground forecast did increase this morning from 1 to 3 inches to 3 to 5 inches. But even with better looking in returns, the snow isn’t falling that well. I’ve had less than 2 inches. I’m pretty sure. It would be good to see some heavy snow at least for an hour or two.

mostman
I am sitting right next to that sub zone. I bet 5 miles to my west is getting sand. It’s marginal here at best. Flips around 17-25db on radar. Stick says around 6 without clearing.

If that was the case, I would only be getting an inch or 2 of fluff out of the whole thing. "well southeast" is open for interpretation. Will confirm with post storm analysis but it was 40-80 miles SE of BM based on model initialization and meso analysis.

In the Merrimack Valley, and too far south to get the stuff we get in the northern part of the valley. Maybe you should move? I’ve lived in ASH for 12 years now and can confirm with absolute certainty that this area blows for everything weather wise except for heat. We do that well. 1

But the precip indentification sensor is definitely caked up with snow hence why ptype obs disappeared. But the vis tells you what the intensity is. I always thought the fog/freezing fog was posted for aviation purposes.

I feel like that was a flag for Western areas the whole time. still..massive L for that model in the mid-range taking it OTS and weak for days and days and only finally did it catch on and then slowly ticked NW closer to the benchmark. GFS/GEM had this as a big hit Tuesday, lost it that 00Z run then it was mostly back after that.

Greg
I think based upon the best of my ability to measure here I have around 8.0" of snow and lots of drifting. Consistency of the snow is more on the fluffier side of things. I should be able to get pretty decent accumulations throughout the day into the evening hours if the forecast is correct. 25.0F Moderate-Heavy snow falling (Blowing Snow). tavwtby
that west band has really been productive, just when it eases up, the wind gusts and it snows harder, gotta be at least 15" here now, watching a 70' pine in front of the neighbors house reach it's limits is amazing, how many storms has that tree seen like this and is still around.
