One good thing about these high wind events is you don't have to clean off the car. It's underrated how much having to clean off the car adds to cleaning up the driveway, especially in the area of the car and if you have multiple cars next to each other

Hrm. I saw multiple cars barely distinguishable from the 6 foot drifts that enveloped them. It's a give and take.

Didn't we pull a 30 burger in January 2015? That's probably as close as we'll get.

Oh I have many snow storms that rival or exceed 78 in terms of snowfall. But the closest I’ve come from a snow and wind perspective is January 2005.

We’ll never see another 78 because we won’t have the mass societal impacts because 78 happened.

Brian,  not a flake here.  I can see all the way south to Kearsarge and it has been in and out of the snow.  No wind either. HRRR says NADA for me.  Globals still say some.  When would you say the furthest NW the sheild will get in our area?

GYX, knocked us down from 4-8" to 3-5". Be surprised we get 3". That's ok looks like 3-5" weds night.

That deformation band may try to get up here briefly. But with the N flow you’re going to need it to get a little north of you on radar and that may be a tough task.

i love the smell of subsidence during a blizzard. This storm will be forgotten by Wednesday. Not even top 100 for me.

Congrats again to those receiving their ‘78 storm. I’ll never get to experience one of those.

I think you live in a bit of a screw zone. In the Merrimack Valley, and too far south to get the stuff we get in the northern part of the valley. Maybe you should move?

Euro had the track right along with rgem in the last 24-48 hours .. however the American guidance nailed the extreme precip.. Storm is tracking well SE of the benchmark

It will be tracking just southeast of the benchmark but not well southeast. If that was the case, I would only be getting an inch or 2 of fluff out of the whole thing.

I think its interesting to note overall just how stubborn the Euro was to come NW all week. I feel like that was a flag for Western areas the whole time.
