Anyone saying it's rates, no. We have a very steady, at times heavy rain. 

It's just the DC snow hole per usual. That extra 500-1,000 feet of melting room.

People keep hoping for a different magical forecast for some reason. The storm information isn't exactly new! We don't control weather so why keep freaking out? Post less, take a breath. Just roll with it...

After holding at 37 for hours a sudden drop to 36 in the last few minutes. DP at 33. Meanwhile I'll entertain myself by looking at leftover snowcrete patches on my block.

Interesting, lots of reports of snow in inside beltway nova but just 5-10 miles northeast in silver spring md I'm watching rain
