You know this, but the warning hasn't started yet.

Without heavy rates, even if it starts to snow again, the ground and air are too warm and wet. I was not expecting a blizzard but was hoping for 3-6 inches.  Ain't happening unless you are NE of DC with higher elevation and maybe the Cactoctins with the IVT.

I bet the catoctins already have 4" +.

Was snowing hard all morning up there.

Everything is going as planned. Accums won't really start for another 3-5 hrs, especially after sunset. Temps will drop to near and below freezing and rates will increase. The ULL formation to our south has not even started yet. Hours to go before the good stuff. Go out, grab a bite, have a drink or two, relax, take a nap, celebrate the USA Gold, then enjoy snow falling later. It'll do what it's going to do. Everyone stay safe, especially our Delmarva brethren.

Which are not forecast to start until about five hours from now.

You are likely too far west for 3-6" without the IVT.

Finally a sane person in here. Enjoy the storm.

35.8 here in Lancaster.  Light rain that changes to snow with increased intensity - but there isn't much intensity.

As other's have said, dropping sun angles and increased intensity should flip everyone in the 3-6pm window.  Abrupt cutoff on models here still, but 0.6-0.9 qpf east to west should still get us the goods later. For all the short term model inconsistencies, the euro and GFS have been in agreement for qpf here since the noon euro run got a clue yesterday.

That reminds me of (I think) 2006 where we had off and on snizzle all day and were thinking bust, then rates picked up right at sunset and we got heavy, wet snow for several hours.  Hoping for that tonight!
