I looked at the soundings here and despite temps near 32 for a time, it was pretty chilly aloft. I think the wetter snow is probably towards PYM and upper cape. Just my guess. 
 

I think if interior SE MA jacks it probably due to better qpf, especially Brockton on west and southwest.

I find that they are usually a little overdone on the snowfall output. Trim the PMM numbers by 10-15% and usually have sensible weather.

I should have said "to Manfield to Brockton." My bad, I made it sound like only that area north. Obviously, not my intention.

Global and any other longterm model spitting out noise and pretty much useless. Meso, HIRES and especially NOWCAST from here on out.

Just predict 2ft. and adjust up from there.
