The Post needs to up its game. Here's a revised headline: 'Nuclear bomb cyclone' could bring feet of snow to NYC this weekend.

Unfortunately, there's no escape from hype.

They are looking at yesterday's model runs...

As Yogi Berra said, it's getting late early (For this one)   Time to move on....

The NAM at 84 hours isn't something useful. First long range model run was 18z icon and it was much improved. Was able to gain more latitude, but started a hair too late. 2 inches into the city and still snowing at end of run. Was a complete whiff earlier.

People really were spoiled rotten by yesterday’s early runs lol

We’re not some quantum leap from something bigger, y’all

And with how much energy/noise there is involved in this system, I sincerely doubt we’ve yet to see the final solution, good, bad, or inbetween

It's funny how I got killed a few hours earlier for saying that the early 12z suite was probably nonsense, and then the Euro came out, and it pretty much confirmed what I suspected. This could be a few inches, especially for Eastern areas, but I don't see how it's much more than that.

People hear what they want to hear....  The Euro is the 2nd best scoring model this winter outside its AI version so not having it on board is an issue

it's tough to get heavy precip these days. look at today; not enough precip to do much of anything.
