Still think 12-18 is fine for most of CT, some of the shore probably ends up <12. Bet BDR doesn't crack 12. This is absolutely wild. Nearly every station reporting S+ with temps in the single digits. MMK6, OXC 5. HVN is warm at 15. Still 6F here. Truly a unique storm, never seen anything like it.
Spaizzo
Went out and measured about half hour ago a little over 7 as an estimateIt’s 9 degrees and heavy snow. 8,7,6.5 in various spots of the yard because I have zero area that is not impacted by wind. So estimating around 7 ish. It’s 9 degrees and heavy snow .

dendrite
SWFE on roids + cold temps. You get a dense amount of crystals and grow them large. That does a real number on the vis.

Chrisrotary12
Positively dumping (as I am sure all have mentioned). Don’t have the energy to read the 20 pages I’ve missed. Anyone mention flake structure. Wonder if we missing out because it‘s arctic sand.

moneypitmike
Significant improvement in flake quality. Vis < 3/4 mile. Even though the wind is pretty light, with it unobstructed off the river, the flakes are all going sideways. If there weren't a foot of snow on the ground already, I'd probably have bare ground from this fluff.
