2025-2026 Winter Snowfall Totals

With some seeing measurable snow/sleet I'll start this up.

Happy measuring. :)

 

11/30/2025: T (A mix of rain/sleet from the 4am hour through about 9am. Intensity got up to light/moderate intensity at times. Temps: low/mid 30s

12/02/2025: T (Probably had a brief period of sleet w/ rain sometime between 4:30am and 5am when precip started before quickly changing to a cold rain that became moderate at times during the morning.)

12/05/2025: 1.2" (Flurries/very light snow starting in the 4am hour intensifying to light snow between 6am and 10am (light/moderate at times). Flurries to very light snow showers continuing through the rest of the morning ending during the 12pm hour.)

Snow totals as of December 5th, 2025: 1.2"

McLean, VA 2025-26 Snowfall
TOTAL: 1.9"

November: T
11/12: T | Stayed up late hoping for something more substantial, but there were still some VERY hard to see flurries.
11/30: T | Morning snow/sleet mix changed to rain.

December: 1.9"
12/5: 1.9" | The return of the mythical December 5th snowstorm. It brought extreme cold for early-December, with my high of 29. The best start to December that my young life can remember.

January: 0.0"

February: 0.0"

March: 0.0"

12/05-06/2025: 1.4" (Flurries/very light snow starting in the 4am hour intensifying to light snow between 6am and 10am (light/moderate at times). Flurries to very light snow showers continuing through the rest of the morning ending during the 12pm hour. ETA: Another few bursts of sometimes moderate snow with big aggregates between 10:30pm and around midnight or so dropping an additional 0.2".)

Snow totals as of December 6th, 2025: 1.4"

All obs this year for me are from Fallston, MD -

11/30 - T

12/2 - A little frz rain to start - trees and car glazed - but 35 and rain for most of event

12/5 - T (dusting from a few hours of flurries as dry cold death air ate any chance of anything else north of BWI

12/6 - .3”  surprise overnight light snow into early AM - covered all surfaces and whitened the fields 

Season total -  .3”
