There ya go! I will argue now this is the best Thanksgiving event in my lifetime. The competition was 1975 when it hit the Wednesday before. But it was followed by warmth and gone and was essentially slop .
OrdIowPitMsp
These long duration events are great. 12hrs+ of snow will end up yielding ~4” here. I’ve crossed a parental rubicon tonight. My 4 year old was actually helpful shoveling the driveway. 6

Band drifted into the shore, and it is developing more heading right into my direction. Could be a decent hit here depending on how long this lasts. SN bordering +SN currently. SchaumburgStormer
Might luck out with the pivot and end up with a few more hours of light to moderate snow

sbnwx85
Had to go to work so I’m a little out of the loop on how the storm is evolving but stepped outside to major rippage. About 7” on the ground (despite our competitor measuring 1.1” ). Looks like a batch of dry air moving in before the final wave in Illinois slides through. 9” seems plausible. Then we’ll see what bonus we get from the lake tomorrow.

On a plowed road?

Not even enough to cover the leftover leaves I didn’t pick up…. 6-8” here seems extremely unlikely unless we get some crazy 1”/hr rates late tonight. We are hours from the heavy bands from what I can see on the radar. I hope I’m wrong! It wasn't even supposed to start yet up there lol.
Jackstraw
Rip city finally. Giant PacMan of dry Easterlies been eating every weenie band trying to get here to Kitchen Sink Canyon. Wiped 2.5in off the board at 1 and zero, nada, zilch until now. We'll see how long this lasts. Winds are finally getting a southerly component letting some moisture in. Think its gonna be too dry for any liquid at all if the temps do climb above 33 or 34 around midnight or later. Gonna have to buy in 3 or 4 inches on the next draw at this rate. Went 6 inches all in with a pair of Jacks in the hole lol. Loved all the pics from the bright side!
RCNYILWX
Might luck out with the pivot and end up with a few more hours of light to moderate snow Filled in nicely again, maybe another 1 to locally 2". Gonna measure later for a storm total. Has to be over 6" here too. Sent from my SM-S936U using Tapatalk
