It's just getting ridiculous at this point. 1
North Balti Zen
Fairly decent blue skies in downtown Baltimore looking west at the moment. Not all that smoke hazy yet over this way to my eye anyway.

CAPE
1 hour ago, Interstate said: Well this weekend's washout looks like more scatter showers as of now. We don't typically get washouts in mid June. The pattern supports frontal action, which tends to be scattered in nature. As advertised there is some decent instability and PWAT moving northward on the western side of the Atlantic HP, so there is the potential for some locally heavy rains at times. The haves and have nots to be determined.

Yeah the pitching sucked in April but has somewhat stabilized. The hitting has been really bad. Hard to say wether it's just a down year for some of their highly touted position players or they over achieved last year and the year before and reality is setting in. Adley hasn't been good at the plate or behind the plate for almost a full season now. It's pretty clear the Os go how Adley goes and I don't think it's a coincidence that the Os rough second half started when Adley's struggles started. This should be in the banter thread. I'll meet you there lol.

wxdude64 Posted yesterday at 12:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:36 PM And this is why I am happy to be where I am. Currently 57.7/55.9 at 8:30 am. Looking around at temps in the area, 57 at the lake (Moomaw), 57 in Covington, 54 at White Sulphur Springs. Then 68 in Roanoke, 64 in Blacksburg, 66 in Staunton, 72 in C'ville, 77 in Richmond 73 at DCA and IAD. I'll likely warm up to within 5 degrees of the highs east but the cool nights and mornings are glorious.

Yes, we in the lowlands are blessed to have late-arriving summers. But it sounds like you just can't beat @wxdude64 in VA with temps and dews both in the 50s. Beautiful. Clear, blue sky here at mid morning.

dailylurker Posted yesterday at 08:06 PM Share Posted yesterday at 08:06 PM I just got done staining a beautiful wood deck. Today was the first day I had to implement heat safety rules. Lots of breaks and lots of water. The job today was in relentless sun on the sheltered side of the house. It was a summer wake up lol. My truck was reading 95 all the way from Ellicott City to Crofton area. The lowlands are baking.

Some thunderstorms will contain heavy rainfall, with rainfall amounts around 1 to 3 inches possible within an hour or two. Storms may also train over the same areas, causing the possibility for locally higher amounts around 4 to 5 inches of rain within a few hours. Heavy rainfall in a short period of time combining with already saturated soils means that creeks and streams may rapidly rise out of their banks along with the potential for flash flooding in urban areas. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
