Watching the radar thought the movement would bend more East with time, but it is continuing to move NE. Some sort of boundary ? Thought it might clip me. but not looking good. The one over the city weakened and another one developed just to the NE, probably on a localized outflow boundary.

Looking at the radar frame by frame the main cell has now weakened, and another much weaker cell has formed East of the Proving Grounds over the water. MillvilleWx Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM I drove through an insane thunderstorm on Thursday out by Cumberland on my travels to Kentucky. Ended up calling Sterling and reporting flooding (Issued a FFW afterwards) and verifying the warning out. That was the worst storm I’ve driven through since I moved from Texas. Hopefully the area gets some beneficial rain from this storm. We desperately need a gully washer.
SnowenOutThere Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM Mowed outside an hour ago and it was okay for 15 minutes before some breaks in the sun lead to it feeling like a summer morning. At least it definitely feels humid enough outside to rain today…

Mrs.J Posted yesterday at 07:28 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:28 PM Watching that storm to my SW out of Leesburg. Right now looks to go just to my South but am hearing thunder off of it. After last night’s surprise pop up I may just bring in the catio just in case.

Definitely the strongest storm I’ve seen here in the last few years.

Was watching radar and was saying to my husband anyone on 270 from Gaithersburg up to Urbana was getting slammed. Picked up 0.17” out of that line up here. Was non eventful the heavy stuff split me to the South and North.
