I was a little surprised when it lightened up that I didnt flip to sleet out here. That is good news for us that the upper levels are still holding on. Good to see you in our subforum by the way.

the only lightening up I've seen is the visibility going from 1/8th to 1/4th mile, lol.

under yellow again with all dendrites and parachutes now mixed in.  4".

Some 50 DBZ returns showing up in western MD. Next band of heavy stuff incoming shortly.

CC shows it's not all snow...it's likely the changeover line.

@WxUSAF sorry if I missed it, are you still down near DC for this storm? Can’t see on mobile.

Looks like the forecasters overall nailed this. 3-4 DC proper. And around 5-7 FFX and Loudoun. Great stuff. Let’s hope we get to 12:00 with snow still falling.

Yep. I loved your area up through Hagerstown for this one. But it has been amazing here as well.

29/22 and right at 3.8" here SW of Warrenton..however beginning to have P-Type issues as it's switched over from SN to Sleet/ZR. All my snow has a glaze now..

2" Rose Hill near Kingstowne.  Snow is more granular so I'm sure the mid level surge is happening

I’m still snow to your NE so that is knocking on my door I am sure.  It was fun while it lasted.  Measured 3.5 inches so not bad.  If it ended now that would be fine.

@clskinsfan how is that band moving into you now?

Maybe 1/4 mile visibility right now. But it takes a little time for the returns to reach the ground. All snow still though.

it's so hard to get thundersnow out here.  <fingers crossed> that one of those bands comes through.  although thundersleet would be awesome, too.
