Um, the Monroe reporter is on meth.

CONNECTICUT

...FAIRFIELD COUNTY...

MONROE 21.0 545 PM 1/23 PUBLIC

FAIRFIELD 13.0 545 PM 1/23 TRAINED SPOTTER

TRUMBULL 10.5 630 PM 1/23 PUBLIC

BRIDGEPORT 10.0 700 PM 1/23 CO-OP OBSERVER

WESTON 10.0 515 PM 1/23 TRAINED SPOTTER

WILTON 8.5 545 PM 1/23 PUBLIC

Yeah, they noted that in their chat room (not the meth but the bogus nature of it) and it will be removed from the next PNS.

Officially 6" here. I keep questioning myself. But It's 6". I'm not a moron and didn't measure a drift. We were below 1/4sm with heavy snow that matched last winter for awhile. Radar supports it.

I believe you.

This oes crack lines are nasty if you are lucky enough to snort one.

Salem had one, I think.

It was extremely rare. never had one rot over me for that long. never. it's usually more of a south shore or north shore thing than directly in the city but this wind direction and this bizarre storm evolution just happened to be good for it.

lol. ok.

I entered my final number for DXR. It's a little low since I cant get a really good measuring area...but it prob will be better or higher than any of the danbury DOT totals that surface after storms.

No question this is at least a 4 on the NESIS scale, even if Boston metro largely missed out, so many official stations and co-ops (the only reports that matter for NESIS) in populated areas are 20"+.

Reports as of 7 pm (maybe an inch or two will be tacked on to these):

NYC 25.1"

EWR 25.7"

LGA 24.5"

JFK 27.7"

PHL 20.8"

DCA 17.8" (they are always low)

IAD 28.3" (#2 all time)

Others

ABE 31.7" (new record)

MDT 28.6" (new record)

That is true regarding the coop thing.

Crazy stuff.  Was down in Burlington around 5:30 and it was snowing at a good clip.  Roads were covered.  Here in Dracut, zippo.  The line between something and nothing, in this area at least, seemed to be around the Chelmsford - Billerica line.

I came from Salem earlier....nasty until the west side of Reading.....then lighted even more near Wilmington center

Figured the nothing line was near 495.
