J.C.
Jim Gandy's map, tomorrow morning at 8am. Gandy.jpg Yeah, and calling for freezing rain in the southern part of that map when forecasting lows in the mid 30s. /facepalm

weatherlover
Radar looks to be expanding northward on the back end of the precip. Hope this trend continues as it would bode well for nc later on tonight and in the morni g
sparklecity
52.7° and falling pretty quickly now after a high of 59.4°. HRRR still showing anywhere from a dusting to 1" for Spartanburg.
toxictwister00
can't believe it but the 18z is dropping a half foot in the mountains. And to think it was only 24 hrs ago, it barely had flurries. Oh GFS!
franklin NCwx
And to think it was only 24 hrs ago, it barely had flurries. Oh GFS! I didn't have anything at 6z this morning. Then two runs later went to the most weenie model.
SnowDeac
Ok bit the bullet here is a map. Man this is a tough week to forecast. Always love your maps. I take it you aren't buying the Bermuda Snow Triangle, as the models are currently showing? Is that simply the mountains eating up the precip, as we often see? Given the trajectory of this disturbance, I'd think we'd see less of this effect (as opposed to a clipper/NW flow).
Hvward
Here is my snowfall map for this one guys. I think most who have missed out this season, get a chance to see flakes. Except of course unless you live in Waycross..
AJF0602
It's crazy earlier today they were forecasting trace amounts for us, now our forecast is 1-3 inches, they didn't brine the roads this time like they did the previous storm and we had numerous accidents here; they had to close the bypass. Jville will be a mess if this over performs.
burrel2
Still 50.7 here I'm thinking anything that falls right when the precip blossoms around midnight to 2am won't have any chance to stick here as temps will most likely be above freezing. Hopefully the pre-dawn to 8am stuff really gets cranking.

burrel2
what direction are your winds? The caa up here means business! They've been out of the Southeast or East around 5mph... I guess that's the problem at the moment. Hopefully they switch to the NNE or NE soon and pick up. Edit: You look to be in an awesome spot,(I'm sure you already know that). I wouldn't be surprised if you got 6 inches from this.

Hopefully the pre-dawn to 8am stuff really gets cranking. I'm worried about temps too. Down to 46 here in Easley but still a long ways to go with full clouds. With temp in the mid 50s the past two days I think pretty much anything that falls melt anyway. I'm afraid we"'ll have a tough time getting below freezing tonight CAA or no. We'll see, hope I'm wrong. BRING IT MA NATURE!
