TradeWinds
I can see blue skies to my South as the rain continues to fall overhead. As with the last 5 days, continued light rain with a few moderate bursts as well. Probably picked up another 0.25" or so which would put me at 5.65" for the event. I think I saw my plants and lawn smiling today!

mattie g
It's been pleasantly sunny, if a little warm, for most of the afternoon. Had about 1" of rain since 9:30 pm, though I don;t know exactly where that puts us (though I'm fairly certain it's just on either side of 10" since yesterday morning). usedtobe
I'm back from a visit to a friend in Michigan. Seems like I always miss the big ones except in 2009-2010. I measured 7.59 on top of the almost 8 from Irene. The car dealership where I bought my last car was badly flooded in Upper Marlboro. The town also was under water for awhile. I got home to find my house OK, no roof leaks.
das
Welcome back, Wes. A question for anyone. Sorry if it has been asked already. As the ULL from the remnants moves east thru the area over the next day, do the totals from tonight's (and possibly tomorrow's) storms get added to the storm total for TS Lee even tho the surface circulation has opened up to a trough? Herb@MAWS
Two decent t-storms moved thru Columbia in the past 90-120 mins. Main feature was hvy rains w/some thunder. No wind, hail or lightning. Temp has dropped to 67 at 5:30pm after a daytime high of 77. Sun has popped back out.

I don't knwo the answer to your question. I don't think there is any official rules for deciding what constitutes and event. I would not include any rain from tonight or tomorrow but that's just an opinion.
H2O
Welcome back, Wes. A question for anyone. Sorry if it has been asked already. As the ULL from the remnants moves east thru the area over the next day, do the totals from tonight's (and possibly tomorrow's) storms get added to the storm total for TS Lee even tho the surface circulation has opened up to a trough? I say no. There was a 2 day lull or so from the major rains and what was forecast for yesterday. To me, the low had morphed into something else as you said and I think that once that happened it is a different creature. Sure there were pops for the lull days but i look at it like a summer t-storm forecast when they have low pops every day for a few days. I don't add those up and treat them as individual events.
