Many fields around here have corn popping up now. Should be about 45 days or so until our first 80+ dewpoint. Have a shot at our first 90 Thursday.

Good job, good job. The Legoland Davis needs to be checked, the pace of that one dropped off midday yesterday while it was still pouring in Goshen.

Did you hit 70 yet?

Who felt the earthquake this morning? -

This morning was our chilliest morning since back on April 28th. The lowest temperature was the 43.5 at Warwick Township just to the south of there here in East Nantmeal Township our low was 44.8 degrees. After yesterday's rain we continue to inch closer to normal rainfall for the year to date diminishing any drought concerns for this growing season. We are at 88% of normal rain today and only 2.18" below normal. We should have a beautiful weekend for all of the Mom's out there with our cooler than normal temperatures today warming to a little above normal for both tomorrow and Monday. Rain chances increase again by Tuesday morning.

Been 3-4 days stuck at 48 degrees. Completely murky with intervals of rain or heavier showers. Usually take the dog for walkies after work but haven't been able to. The dog is getting pissed. Maybe I can get him a walkie late this afternoon or evening?

Hit 'em low. After all this rain, you don't want any "fried eggs" on the fairways.

NY is big on hydroelectric power, that's my favorite energy source (I also love solar, you can make money off a solar farm.)

You can buy a Home Depot cheapo for $2500, but if you want something durable, get a John Deere from a dealer -
Yeah he is 35 but doesnt look it and seems durable. That's probably why they were able to sign him to a relatively modest deal. If the rest of the rotation was intact his addition would have been much more impactful. Eflin is back- looks like he will start Sunday- and then we wait and see on Grayson(doesnt look promising) and the potential returns of Bradish and Wells sometime after the all star break. The offense must become more consistent for the team to tread water until then. They are at a critical point right now-need to stay inside of 10 under and work towards 500. Continue on this trajectory and they will be 20 under before you know it. That would pretty much be the writing on the wall.

Today is the last windows open day for awhile. The AC will likely be turned on for the first time this year during this upcoming hot stretch. Tomorrows record high is 88 which is also the forecast high. My gut says we hit 90 everyday Sun-Wed

My nephew near Druid Hills area of Dekalb County near Atlanta just felt an earthquake in his bed. The quake was a 4.1 centered in TN:

Started. The wind farm out in LI was contracted to charge 300% over spot energy rates…which are terrible to begin with. Who's getting that money? A foreign company thats who. Who’s paying it for it? Subsidized by NY and federal tax payers who don’t even use that power. Its a disgusting deal. The other power source is in another country - Canada - who hate us - dumb dumb dumb. So we have the second highest electricity rates in the US and there is no hope of that changing that unless we can fleece federal taxpayers into subsidies. NO WAY will NY ever build more power plants. Impossible. Except subsidized wind farms.

CoCoRaHs two day accumulations attached-click for clarity. Max observed 3.5" (se NYS) unless local offices post greater. Max near 2" e LI. Two minor flood warnings in CT with slow rises into Mothers Day. Not much of a watch verification but the rain was needed as displayed and should alleviate what is now listed as only Long Term drought n NJ/e PA/Southern New England. As some noted; s NJ could use more. Have my hopes for more than indicated 12z Tue/13-00z Fr/16 of next week if the upper low can lift a little further north. Worthy of monitoring but no thread til next week, if the unlikely spot 3" occurs up here along and north of I80. Right now we're sort of the northern fringe as per 06z/10 WPC ensembles. - Today
