Southern Maryland and lower Delmarva have been quite moisture starved for some time. I was coming back from a conference in Ocean City the other week and the soybeans were looking quite ragged. Even the corn was struggling.

364 kWh for June so far. 986 for May.

May gave me 170% of normal rainfall.       The first 10 days of June have produced 7% of normal.

The dominant westerly and northwesterly flow aloft has killed rainfall in the Valley. That rain-shadow is usually reliable.
