BlizzardNole
0.16 so far which is the most I've had for weeks. Hoping for more from that batch in central VA. You're right about it looking heavier on radar that is actually is. Yellows on radar just produce light rain. But I'll take it! Glad it held off for Mothers' Day
North Balti Zen
2 hours ago, nw baltimore wx said: Although super jealous, im happy for those getting rain today. Total .08” from yesterday. That’s a pretty classic last four or more winter events kinda precip shield for our area - just hilarious watching the moisture hit a wall around Baltimore City and not advance north at all
AnEndlessMaze
I haven’t moved the rain magnet from my old house yet, so congrats SOMD

MN Transplant
33 minutes ago, dailylurker said: It's been a steady moderate rain here all morning. It looks heavier on radar than it actually is. There's probably some big wet snowflakes aloft. The radar QPE algorithm is having a terrible time with this event. I’m sitting at 0.23” and DCA is 0.21” and the radar estimate is ~0.7”. 1

CAPE
0.36" today. Most rain in one "event" since probably March. Chilly out there. Feels like a late October day. 52 I can see the clearing line to the west, so might get a bit of sun to end the day.

WxUSAF
Normies (and JB) insisting it’s been a cold May and cold spring because of recency bias plus frog in the slowly heating pot syndrome (and psychosis). Second half probably ends up AN and more than wipes out the BN anomaly to date for the month to give us 3 AN to MAN spring months. But brrrr!! It was chilly a couple times!!! So much for global warming amirite!?!
wxdude64
Ended with 0.57" at 7 am reading, that makes event total 1.05". First plus one inch rainfall here since 2/20/26. Was 37.0 for a low, but saw no frost, likely due to the heavy fog that formed. Currently 45.7/42.0 at 9:50 am as the sun is burning thru the last of the fog.
