Started to rain around 12:30 last night so I checked the radar. Huge red blob in southern Fairfax/PW counties. Northwestern tip of it touching I66 in western Fairfax. I only got light rain and one distant rumble of thunder. It looked like the blob might hit DCA but checking this morning, they just got a few hundredths too.

Last night’s storm took away some of the sting of another paltry event. Total of 0.32” yesterday.

Yeah, felt like a lucky night - that it happened overnight was good too because it allowed it to soak in better instead of the sun baking it off.

I'm ready for shorts weather. My hoodies and sweatpants are getting worn out.

Yea I can still workout in wind pants.  I’d like it to be warmer, but the sunshine today is top shelf.

I forget what it's like to have a rainy day where we get like 1.50". It's been since last fall if I remember correctly. All we get these days is a shower or sprinkles.

A tenth here last night. Like a broken record. Looks like another tenth possible this weekend lol. Getting ridiculous.

I wish it was...can we get 3 months of 80s, mostly sunny, and afternoon storms 3 days a week, please?  I'm ready for summer.

This arctic air mass has punched way to the south: the dewpoint at Miami is down to 61!

yea feels like we're still in a La Nina thing.  Gulf of Mexico has had basically no influence on our weather for like 3 years now.  I haven't been tracking things much lately, but at minimum we need to start getting tropical remnants back in this area by Fall.
