More peaceful and wintry than many areas

Ya, it’s a good place to live overall.  No real worries of destructive weather for the most part(Major tornado outbreaks, or major hurricanes).  Good summers and beautiful autumns(foliage). And once past April and early May(where we are now), the weather more often than not gets nice/decent.  If one likes the variety of a four season area, it’s as good a place as any. Sure the cold mornings and colder days at this time of year can get old, and annoying.  But overall the variety is nice.

I get it why sometimes older folks feel the need to move away to a warmer regime…but overall SNE is a nice area to live.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but, yes. Haven't had cable or any subscription TV service for over a decade. Don't listen to any radio stations either.  Ad-free YouTube music, physical dvds/blu-rays for movies/shows. Cancelled amazon prime because they started showing ads. Fuck all that noise.

I can’t recommend enough YouTube Premium. There’s a ton of great content that becomes enjoyable once you remove the ads. It’s astonishing how much more I have been watching it since I subscribed to prevent my son from seeing ads.

See I was thinking when he said no TV, it was zero TV.  Another words, he doesn’t even turn it on. And doesn’t turn on any radio at all either.  I mean watching a different mode or medium on your TV, is Still watching TV imo. But I get what you’re saying.

Correct, haven't turned on my TV in at least 2 years. Watch most things on my computer monitor, or just listen to music via YouTube playlists while working. I read all of my news since there are zero sources of video news that are delivered in a non-breathless hype manner.

Not sure how anyone has the patience to watch the news.

Back from Florida keys. Painful getting on that plane today. It would be one thing if we had 60s to look forward to. The New England fake spring exhaustion is real. Lot of folks with 2nd homes staying put down south watching this nonsense.

This 18z NAM's a bit of a sneaky gem tomorrow...  This run would exceed the MOS' that are based upon the 12z grids.   Not by a lot... but W of the immediate coastal plain probably 62's, and a bit warmer yet in the deeper interior.  With very light wind at times no wind, at this time of year/sun that's teeing off in sort sleeves.

This is still primarily a SW 1/3 of CT event even with these late shifts NE.  Today is dry for most. If I get a few light showers tonight here is NBD.

Time to shut ‘em down.

Closing day, and last real reading of the year at the snow plot.

Theres still snowpack up there but daily visitation gets tough without the lift.

310” of snowfall will be the ski area’s official season total at 3,000ft (mid-upper slope) on the broad east side.  More snow must fall up in the alpine and ridge a thousand feet higher at 4,000ft, but this elevation works pretty good for the ski area terrain.
