My brother measured (somehow) 16” in Foxboro

There are two observations in Foxboro of 19.3" (~9am) and 16" (8am). That checks out.

Not directed to you, but the Taunton/Norton/Mansfield observations (circled below) need to be updated. They must be approaching 16+" by now.

E. Providence w/a 20" observation now too. Good for them!

840 AM update:

SPC mesoanalysis indicating 973 mb low just south of the
benchmark. Winds are backing more to the N and allowing colder
air to filter south and east into SE MA where temps have fallen
to 30F, and upper 20s at BOS. As the storm gets east of 70W
this colder air will reach SE coastal MA by midday and
eventually Cape Cod early afternoon. This is good news as snow
character will become drier. Eventually the mesoscale band
impacting RI and SE MA will clops and move eastward by 18z
reducing the heavy snowfall rates.

I’m just south and I see the the 16-20” so I’m right in that range as well now.

Ten am lol...two hours and it hasn't started yet

Probably just a stat padder. Hopefully we get a little more after this one and we will at least make average for the year.

What do you consider average around here? Something like 45"-50"?

You guys must be doing 4" per hour and approaching 24-30"

I have been out a few times to attempt to check and it's utterly pointless. There are bare patches and 5 foot drifts. My little back garden looks like approaching 2 feet but it's a guess. The snow is very very heavy and caked.

That's about what I expected.

My brother in Norton looks to have ~16" with drifts approaching 3'.

Good to see Providence and Attlehole doing well.

13” here now or so (very tough to measure but it’s def close to that. Might be more but staying relatively conservative)

Epic over SE MA.

Im on the northwest edge of the good stuff but nothing like RI and further SE

Can finally say just light snow here now . I don’t know what to think about the rest of the day . I don’t think that band out east comes west. I guess the hope is the one to the NW pivots and sits this afternoon like some guidance shows

Should migrate east there. Probably another several inches.

I'm hoping this band over me stays steady for a bit

Looks like those rates have been in east central Rhode Island for 6-7 hours
