aldie 22
Much needed .41 in the rain gage but I sure wish it had been 4" of snow. I usually don't get too disappointed at weather because I can't control it but this blows a bit. I'll keep telling myself we need the rain but.... MillvilleWx
6 minutes ago, SnowenOutThere said: Got any tools I could use to see where it’s setting up? I’m right next to Dulles and am liking where the banding has been. SPC mesoanalysis page 850mb winds (Version 2) is pretty nice. You can see some of the convergent winds over PA down into NoVA. That's a good indicator. Also watch the radar from PA down into MD/VA for localized reflectivity maxima orienting into a line. That's a good indication it's starting. 2

Even though I am looking forward to spring gardening weather, I still get that awful feeling when I am in the midst of a snow bust. Years of being a weather weenie school teacher messes with your emotions when it comes to snow. lol.

Roger Smith
500 mb low now close to Charleston WV, not into any rapid deepening yet. 700 mb low appears to be detaching a coastal component over central VA from a mean center over w/c PA. Think this just keeps intensifying at current rates for 3-4 more hours and then goes boom.
