Yup, models will be close to correct on QPF totals give or take a tenth or two. 
Maybe not a lot of 18” totals but plenty of meat in the pack. 

7.75" here, normally I would be crabby but not this time... Anything over 10 hits a personal best

Around 10” when I went out to do round 1 of snowblowing right after the game ended.  Coming down nicely.   Wind is stronger than I thought so maybe that is tearing apart some of the dendrites.

It's so easy to tell - real life is less "concentrated" than AI imagery. Even situations of joy and devastation will have areas of normalcy. AI interprets the user's request - often of dramatics and absurdity - and has no choice but to paint an image that is 100% to satisfy its loss function per the user query. Even as AI has gotten so realistic, the way people use it sure hasn't

Snow up to thy' neck... The trooper is 24" tall and snow is ~2/3rds to the top of the figurine. I'd call it ~13-16" (removing some inches that drifted from the roof). Just shoveled the driveway and measured just under 11" on my car. 

Getting a fine snow that steadily accumulates. Spent about 45mins shoveling and picked up a half inch.
