What did you all end up with?

I had just under 7" prior to the switch over and atleast 1.5" of sleet. Maybe a little more

Oh yeah, NAM definitely whiffed the QPF. 
Maybe I don't remember correctly, but didn't GFS have a lot higher totals?
And yeah, Chicago didn't get more snow than most of us, but still actually got snow. 

GFS had me at 11.4 last night 00z. I ended up over 11”. NAM had me at 7.5. NAM had DC at like 3-4”

It busted pretty badly on totals. It got thermals correct but completely missed the initial thump.

His quote was taken out of context. He said at a conference earlier this week that, "I'd rather be in Chicago", meaning he was worried the primary low was going to cut further west and persist longer than the guidance was initially forecasting. Ultimately, he was right.

I have to say - decently impressed with the AI Euro. Had me at 10.2, I'm at 9.8 with the snow 10:1 ratio (if I'm counting sleet as snow, there's no sleet panel in the AI Euro)

Always nice to have another big threat to track immediately after a major storm, and not at like day 12 either.  This storm was great, had some awesome rates overnight with a couple hours of elite snow growth, historic sleet bomb, true arctic cold.  Rare to see around these parts.

It looks like a foot outside in annapolis I know it probably is not but we have drifted pricing 2 feet of sleet as many do. Now everything is iced over and it continues

I can believe it. So much sleet. ~7 inches of snow up this way before changeover and then the constant heavy sleet… 4 inches of it doesn’t seem unreasonable depending on their banding. Especially with proper measurements, unlike my deck lol. There is so much sleet on the ground it is nuts.

Went for a night walk. Glaze on everything. Solid crust on top of sleet on top of snow. Any road plowed is slick as snot. Sirens all over. Dumbass people trying to drive when they shouldn’t.

Unconventional double digit storm but I’ll sure as shit take it. Especially since we’ll be able to enjoy it all week. Models have lows falling to near zero 3-4 days this week. Going to be a great week leading up to our storm next weekend (hello 18z euro)
