it's been flurrying for a few hours and now there is a burst of light snow. the cats had forgotten about snow and are in the windows investigating.

FWIW (not that much), my dad lives w/in a mile of the mall and eyeballs "barely one inch". He loves snow but more like a normal person/not rabidly enough to measure, and is elderly so all the better.

have to say that overall this was fairly well predicted by the models, Euro gets props for having been the earliest and fairly consistent to predict that places even north of DC up to around I70 would get measurable stuff... and the timing of when it would begin and (soon) end was accurate as well.  Some of the other models were late to the northern shift but did catch on as we got closer to the event.

PG Schools did a switcheroo. I got the 2 hr delay but missed the subsequent school closure message because I was working. lol. Pulled up into the school with my daughter and the parking lot was empty. Ooops.

Welp, we got snow on Dec. 5 in 2002 and 2009 and those winters turned out pretty good 

And look at some of the winters ending in a 6:  1966, 1996, 2016...

Well over an inch here in the lowlands. Probably at least 1.5" and still snowing. I thought it would of ended by now.

Steady light snow and 1.5”. No roads nor sidewalk coverage 28F  Daytime high may exceed -20 from average.

One last band trying to develop just SW of DC. Might push DCA to over 1.5".

Just got home. Measured 1.3" OTG. Probably 1.5+ fell but I wasn't here to measure properly. Still some non accumulating light snow falling and skies are brightening a bit.

At school, looking out the window, and still big flakes with moderate-heavy snow! I'll ask my dad to measure for me but I think I probably got 2".
